I use Grammarly for everything, but if Grammarly had their way the following words would be banished from the dictionary: really, actually, own, just.

I get the reasoning for lots of suggestions – whether it’s creating a tautology, squinting modifier etc. Grammarly has been great in my journey of self-awareness and understanding what ‘correct’ writing looks like.

But at the end of the day, good writing requires balance between ‘correctness’ and ‘rule-breaking voice’. It’s not surprising to see the articles you analysed weren’t ‘perfect’.

And sometimes, you just gotta end a sentence with a preposition!
