This is great Matt! The second point resonates a lot. I remember when I got an editor the first thing she told me was that my writing was a bit too… complicated. I had to make it easier to read. I think perhaps there’s a fine balance to strike between providing what readers will love / read easily and still being authentic and true to your style. Do you have any advice there?

Also, I’ve found that (even though I don’t have many readers) the pieces I feel a little nervous pressing ‘publish’ on are usually received the best.
